Mo came with Curley. They were lost and never claimed. When they arrived, they were dirty, ravenous and kinda wild. But now they are clean, settled and just so loving. They are probably about a year old and have a lot of energy. The both love water which means they get really silly with the large water tub we have outside. They know how to sit and are learning how to walk on a leash. The LOVE being cared for and are very affectionate. Watching them blossom is one of the joys of rescue.

He has had shots and has been chipped. We will provide for his neutering. He is a great dog.

Abe is a nine month old puppy who is an owner surrender. They got him as a puppy and then left him in the back yard to fend for himself. We are working with him to learn social skills. He will do really well in a family that is active and can work with him.

Timber/Mike came to us from Carlsbad. He is about 9 months old. His owners surrendered him to the shelter for digging and chewing. He actually is a very sweet boy. Needs exercise and needs some training. He is a little overweight and is gorgeous.

Sugar is a 3 year old female with a very nice disposition. She was turned into the shelter because her own was disabled and had to go to the hospital. She is high energy and loves to go running so would do really well in a family that hikes or runs. She likes other dogs but doesn’t like to share at dinner time.

Dusty is an older guy who loves to go on a walk, he gets right up and wags his tail at the sight of a leash. His nose has healed, he has put on some weight, his coat is glowing. He likes other dogs and is even tolerant of younger pups. I think the pics say it all. This is the best of what we do.

He has had all his shots and is micro chipped and is neutered. He is blossoming. His arthritis has lessened. He is a character. This afternoon he was throwing a toy in the air. If you love the older guys, he is a great choice.

Kirby was given to us by a family that lost their jobs and lost their house so they couldn’t keep the dogs. We think he is 5 or 6.

He is all up to date with his shots and has been microchipped. He needs to be neutered and we will pay for that at our vet. He is shy and is very sweet. He will do best in a quiet household. He likes other dogs and is very amenable.

Shobi is a young boy who was found up the fields of Mora. He is very loving and very affectionate. The people who found him loved him and cared for him but were transferred to another missionary assignment so had to find him a new home. That person is no longer able to care for him. He gained some weight while he was with the foster so he is on our spa plan.

He loves to play soccer and loves to run so he would be well suited to someone who hikes or runs. Because he has been passed around and lost so much, he does get anxious if left alone for a long time.

Aly is a 3 year old sweet heart. She is good with other dogs, likes cats, loves to ride in the car and is very, very sweet. Loves people and will make a great member of the family. We will be getting her spayed and then placing her.

Hi Kathleen,
We have a lovely 9month old golden mix pup named Angel at our shelter and while I know you dont typically take mixes, I was hoping you might be able to send his info out to your waiting list in case he captures someones heart. He is a very sweet, social, exuberant boy. He is great with other dogs and submissive around a dominant female. He came in with a wound to his neck, but our vet volunteered her time to repair it and now the hair just needs to grow back. (It was superficial, no permanent damage at all.) He is very friendly and is learning to walk on a leash pretty quickly. He does fetch, although he is still trying to figure out why we want the toy back if we are just going to throw it again. He is neutered, vaccinated and ready to go home.
