Adopted

Shannon

Shannon is a 2 year old girl who is very affectionate and willing to please. She was dumped in a field and left on her own with 2 pups. She loves to play, loves other dogs and loves people. She has had her shots, has a microchip and has been spayed. She is set to go.

little girlLittle Boy puppy

These two are real, healthy, AKC pups. They are being released to us because the owner realized that this was not the right time for puppies in her life. They are nine weeks.

coy and chasecody toy

Here are two boys who have grown up with toddlers and are great with them. The family is moving and can’t take them. I am getting to know these two characters. When they arrived they were, shall we say, a wee bit *chunky*. It is always fun to see what happens when the dogs get good food and some exercise. No more couch potatoes for these boys! They are having a great time with the pack outside…I have 5 dogs this week and the pack experience is good for all of them. Cody had a dental and has shiny new pearlies. Chance is running around and actually playing with toys. Cody loves that toy! I think they thought this was boot camp and now they are realizing it is camp, regular camp. And they LOVE going in the car.

Levi New

Levi came to us as a pretty wild teenager…He is 10 months and had just been dropped off at the shelter because he *barked.* I am assuming it was because he was left alone all day. He is very loving and very eager to learn. He likes other dogs and loves to play with toys. He knows how to retrieve and will bring the ball back for hours if he can.. He will do really, really well with someone who likes to run, hike or walk a lot. He is very athletic. We are getting him groomed and he wase knock out gorgeous for a day . He LOVES water and just cannot stay out of the dog bowl. He has AKC papers if that is important to you.

email Kathleen@radiantrecovery.com if you would like to meet him or if you would like to take him running.

RosieRosie Body

And here is Miss Rosie. We think she is about 2. She is darling.

Here is what the people said who brought her to us.

Just a little background on her.. she’s a wonderful dog that we took from a family who already had 4 dogs and were about to have their 6th child! They were trying to get rid of the dogs because they couldn’t take care of them anymore. We felt bad and somewhat obligated since we were friends! Rosie is about 2 years old and is micro chipped and we were told she has all her shots. She’s extremely loveable and happy. Very smart and has lots of energy. She loves to play and run…especially fetch. And from what we can tell she loves water, as she loves to get in the sprinklers when we turn them on! Unfortunatley, we just can’t give her the attention she deserves. We work out of town and often are not home unitl 9pm. So she’s alone all day and we would really love to see her go to a home where she can get the attention she needs. She would make an excellent family dog..she as an excellent temperment and is good with children. I did find out that she wasn’t always treated well in her previous home…she was often left outside alone or crated and was used as riding toy for the kids in her home! I just want to do the right thing for her and felt that I was helping her by taking her from her previous home. Not sure what the next step would be but we would really appreciate your help in finding her a good home. Thank you for your assistance.

email kathleen@radiantrecovery.com if you want to meet her.

Jake

Jake is a one year male with a very nice temperament. He is athletic, happy, LOVES to play ball and is just gorgeous. This picture does not do him justice.

email kathleen@radiantrecovery.com if you would like to meet him.

Baby

Ok, this baby was found as a stray. He is arriving on Monday. We think he is about 8 weeks. Because I have had parvo at my house and kennel last week, it is not possible for him to stay here.

I need a foster home for him ASAP. Any takers.

email me…kathleen@radiantrecovery.com

Buster

Buster is about 4-5 months old. He was being left on his own out in a yard and had no one to play with. A neighbor offered to get him and bring him to us.. He is absolutely darling. He is housebroken likes other dogs, is very smart and will be a fabulous dog.

email me if you are interested in meeting him. kathleen@radiantrecovery.com

puppytwo pups

So we have 5 3 monthers. They are golden, aussie (she was black) cross. They have very delightful personalities. They have had first shots, have been wormed and we will provide spay and neutering.

All the little temperments are different. Rex is the biggest and boldest, Scoopy is shy and watches, Gator and Trevor go along with the pack, and Annie watches all the rowdy boys play.

These puppies have golden temperaments and are very, very smart. They are well adjusted and love people.
So, if you have been waiting for a puppy, and can do with black rather than blond, here is your chance!

puppies with Josie

All puppies have wonderful homes. Annie, the only girl went on a plane to the woman who cared for Franklin!!
All new homes report that they are doing beautifully. Here is a report from trevor now named Finnegan:

finn
He is doing really really well. He is playful, attentive and wanting to learn, and he’s stopped howling at me every time I leave the kitchen area where his play pen is lol. Now we just need to teach him not to try and eat Anna’s hair 🙂 We’ve renamed him Finnegan, and I’m hoping that is ok with you. He is getting lots of love.

And from Gator now named Cooper

Well, we are in absolute love with him. He was a bit lethargic the first couple of days, though. We thought it might be due to several things: depression, effects of being ill, scared, etc. He seems to be coming out of it, however, and has started to really interact with us (especially the boys) and play like a puppy (chasing his tail, throwing one of his numerous toys in the air then picking it up again). He loves hanging out with us in the den in the evening. We bought him a bed the first day and he took to it like fleas on, well, a dog. We finally bought a crate today and he already loves it. I have gone into the laundry room (where the crate is) several times this evening and he has followed me and went right into the crate. Tonight will be the first night he sleeps in it. The crate should make it easier to house-train him. (We keep the carpet cleaner out and ready.)

Scott has started teaching him some commands, which he seems to understand readily. We have also taken him walking almost every night and he has proven to be a great walker. Scott will start working on heeling soon.

And, yes, Rodger has accepted him. I can’t help but think, though, that Rodger is saying to himself, “Okay, we’ve had him long enough. It’s time for his owner to pick him up.” Cooper isn’t obnoxious around Rodger (like other younger dogs have been) and Rodger lets him sniff him out, which I think is a good sign. We’re careful to give Rodger lots of extra attention.

Sally sleepingSally Head

Sally is an 11 month old little stray that was found in Texas. She is absolutely darling. Very active. We are working with her about her manners. She has learned to sit rather than jump. She loves walking. She is very, very affectionate. Loves other dogs. A real sweetie.

Here is an update from her new family:

Thought you’d like to see how “Sally” looks now…just healthy as can be…she has put on 11 lbs and we just had her spayed last week. She LOVES our older dog and has actually adapted pretty well in these last few weeks. Thanks for the trainer contact, that worked out well…We love this dog, so thank you for helping us to find her and bring her into our home. She still has some things to learn, but she is learning quickly..
