Adopted

Mateo is a very sweet guy. He is about 7-8, a little overweight but with a fabulous disposition.
This is a house dog. He LOVES affection, likes other dogs and is a happy guy. Loves going in the car.

We was found and no one has claimed him so we are looking for a new home for him. He is neutered and chipped although the chip was never registered. If you are looking for a gem, he is your boy.

Castillo is a one year old male who was surrendered by his owner for financial reasons. He is a very sweet. Loves children and grew up with a cat. He is athletic, loves to walk and hike and is VERY loving.

I placed him a couple of months ago and they just returned him to me because the mother was going back to work. He arrived and was shaking. I feel badly for him. But he is out in the back with 3 girls and is a happy boy. I gave him a bath and rubbed and scrubbed him. He loves being back and is excited to have a new home. This is a really, really nice boy.

Here is the description I received from the people who have been caring for her.
This is Molly. She is approximately 7 years old. Molly has been living with her friend, Cindy, who is 8 ½ and unfortunately is crossing the Rainbow Bridge due to aggressive mast cell cancer. Molly and Cindy belonged to an 88-year-old retired Army nurse, Miss A. Both were the light of her life, her children really, as she had no children of her own. The three of them were very happy together. Miss A. took the girls on walks at least twice a day, kept doggie biscuits in her pockets all of the time, and made sure that they went to the vet whenever they needed to. All of them slept together in Miss A’s room, sometimes even sharing her little twin bed with her believe it or not! None of them ever met a stranger and everyone in the neighborhood knew Miss A. and her two furkids.

Unfortunately Miss A’s memory began to falter, and she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Luckily for Molly and Cindy she would forget not to feed them. When she seemed to be forgetting everything else they were the one thing on her mind—all of the time. One neighbor noticed that she didn’t forget to walk or feed them—just the opposite–she walked them five times in one day, and gave them biscuits each time (forgetting how many walks and how many biscuits!) Miss A. is now in an assisted living facility, as she can no longer live on her own safely or care appropriately for her two “puppies,”, and Molly and Cindy have been living at their home without their mom with a kind neighbor feeding them and caring for them. They have been orphans with only each other for comfort for the past five months.
Now that Cindy is crossing the Rainbow Bridge, Molly will be alone. We just cannot leave her all by herself with no mom and no friend, in an empty house. She has lost so much in the past five months. She is a very sociable girl who needs to be with people. She gets along with children and adults. She is extremely friendly, knows “Sit,” and enjoys walks with people—long ones when possible! She is okay with brushing and bathing, and can walk on a leash or off leash. She has lost some weight since she is not getting as many biscuits as Miss A gave her, but she is still on the heavy side.

She is here and ready for a new home. And she is s very nice girl.

Here is Mr. Randall who is a 7 month old sweet guy. He is an owner surrender. The people that gave him to us got him from someone down south so we don’t really know his story. We do know that whomever had him did a far amount of abuse because he hits the dirt if you look at him.

He is very, very nice with a huge potential. He loves to please, likes other dogs and loves to go walking. He is housebroken. He is not yet trained so will need to be with someone who is willing to spend time with him. He wants to learn.

Fisher is a young male with LOTS of energy. He is a bundle of joy. He loves people. He is great with other dogs if they don’t mind his enthusiasm. He loves to go walking and running and is terrific on the leash. Here is a video of him on a walk in the North Valley.

He also loves to swim and chase balls and he loves his stuffed animals. He has dozens of them and he carries them just about everywhere he goes. He often sleeps with one in his mouth or between his front paws. He’s a wonderfully happy, affectionate boy and is very eager to please so he trains very easily. It has never taken me more than a few minutes to teach him things like sit, down, shake, stay. And he is always great about asking to go outside when he needs to.

Fisher was turned in by his owner because she is working late hours and just felt that she could not give him the exercise he needs.

email me if you would like to meet him.

Baxter is a 6 month old boy who was found along the highway in CO and the animal services there could not find his owner. He is very sweet and earnest, loves other dogs and people. He came with kennel cough which we are treating so we have not given him his shots yet. He will need to be neutered which we will cover.
He is a mouthy little guy and is learning how to keep his mouth and paws off of people. He LOVES his training and is doing beautifully.

Here is Molly. She is 3 years old, has been spayed, had shots and is chipped. She is great on a leash, loves to go walking and is, as you can see, excited to have a new home. She loves being here. We placed her in a home that was a fabulous match. The owner was thrilled, she was thrilled and things seemed to be great. However, person life changes and the new owner had to return to Hawaii to care for her grandson.

We are looking for someone who might be willing to foster Molly for maybe six months. Her original people told me that she didn’t get along with other dogs. However, she loves Fisher and they are having a great time together. When he gets rowdy with her, she growls. And he just backs off. I think if she was with a dog that took that as aggression, it would not be good. Write me and let’s chat.

Here is Toby looking silly. He actually is VERY cute. He is a 10 month old darling little boy. He is still a wiggly puppy who is very eager to please. We are working on social skills but he is funny, sweet and very affectionate. He loves other dogs and loves children.

He has had shots, is chipped and will need to be neutered. Will will provide a voucher for this once he is placed.

UPDATES ON PLACEMENTS:

We had 50 applicants for the puppies, and we did a first screening. We decided that we would not place a puppy in a home where people were not home during the day. That left us with a small pool of qualified applicants. A number of folks came diligently to help with the pups. They spent time socializing them, they cleaned their living space, they brought them toys….and they got dogs because we could match the pups to the people.
